March 18th 2015, SolidAnim prepared a live performance mixing real-time rendering/compositing/live action/motion capture. I was in charge of developping the rendering/compositing components in Unity as well as the plugins to receive data from the Vicon MoCap system and Solidanim's SolidTrack markerless camera tracking solution.
Blender Virtual production plugin
For a three weeks intensive student film production, I spent the first week developing a virtual production plugin for Blender. This plugin can take an infinite number of OSC network streams, map them to any objects in the scene (characters, lights...) and record/playback them with a system of ubertakes that combined multiple takes of our choice. In order to track the movement of our virtual camera device we used SolidTrack.
